​Finishes and Enhancements

 

Luum Textiles offers finishes and treatments that can be added to the fabric after weaving to meet cleaning expectations, enhance performance, or meet flammability requirements.

​• Not all finishes are available on all styles

​• All finishes must be tested with specific fabric prior to production

​• Overages of up to 10%-20% may occur on orders with special finishes

Stain Resist

 

Standard
Topical finish that repels water-based and oil-based soil and stains to allow for easier cleaning by inhibiting stain and soil penetration.

Teflon®
Teflon branded topical stain repellant finish that allows for easier cleaning by inhibiting water-based and oil-based stain penetration into the fabric.

Greenshield™
Environmentally friendly stain resistant finish with highly reduced fluorocarbon content. Repels water-based and oil-based soil and stains using permanently adhered nanoparticle technology in an immersion finish.

Nanotex®
Permanent finish that repels water-based and oil-based stains for easier cleaning. Some fabric types may not be compatible, please inquire.

Backing

 

Acrylic
An acrylic backing that improves dimensional stability and minimizes seam slippage. Different thicknesses of backing can be applied based on performance requirements.

Polyester
Polyester backing that improves dimensional stability and minimizes seam slippage. Does not negatively affect the recyclability of a 100% polyester fabric.

Liquid Barrier

 

DuraBlock™
Permanent finish that provides a breathable liquid barrier. Some fabric types may not be compatible, please inquire.

Flame Resistant
A selection of environmentally friendly non-halogenated and non-brominated options designed to provide specific code compliance. Offered in both immersion and backcoating applications.

Antimicrobial

 

Chitosan Technology
This antimicrobial agent is applied in an immersion bath. It inhibits the growth of odor and deterioration causing bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungi. It is an abundant and naturally replenished resource derived from snow crab shells.

BioAm®
An antimicrobial treatment that controls microorganisms that cause odors, stains, mold, mildew and fungus. BioAm controls microorganisms through an electronic charge. Some fabric types may not be compatible, please inquire.
