Luum Textiles collections designed to work together holistically, and perform in interiors anywhere around the world - 1st August, 2019
Luum Textiles announced today that, in conjunction with Teknion Asia and dealer-partner Team Net Inc., several of its collections are now available in the Japanese market. The announcement was made at a recent event staged at the Riviera Aoyama in Tokyo. Suzanne Tick, Creative Director, Luum Textiles, and guest of honor, introduced the many collections to local designers, architects and clients as part of her Life & Design Tenets workshop.
“We were already familiar with Suzanne Tick and her work as we were looking to grow our existing textile business,” said Hitoshi Tomoda, Owner, Team Net. “We found the new collections that she was designing for Luum Textiles intriguing. The textiles were simply beautiful, generating warm energy based on firm philosophy. We are excited with the potential of carrying the Luum brand for our designers and clients in Japan.”
“Working with Team Net and Teknion in the Far East is a new and exciting opportunity for us,” said Dave White, Vice President of Luum Textiles. “At Luum, working by hand enables us to create textiles that are both elegantly simple yet structurally complex. From fiber to finish, across upholstery, panel and direct glue wall applications, our collections are designed to work together holistically, and perform in interiors anywhere around the world.”
Luum Textiles collections in Japan currently available include the latest collection – Future Tense – in addition to Color Compound, Eastern Hemisphere, Focus In, Ideation, Phenomenology, Starting Point, Tactility, Transference and Woven Logic, with more to follow.
In addition to Japan, Luum collections are now available in other international markets including Central and Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific (Greater China, India, South East Asia, and Oceania).
In Japan, Luum Textiles collections are available exclusively through Team Net Inc., located at 3-1-7, Minamiaoyama, Aoyamakomparu Bldg. 5f., Minato-ku, 107-0062. For more information, contact: https://team-net.co.jp/
Launched in 2013, Luum Textiles was founded on the belief that design is most successful when the creative process is paired with a clear performance intent. Working by hand at the fiber level, Luum is able to understand – and ultimately influence – how materials will perform in the built environment. The resulting textiles come together as integrated collections designed to deliver an integrated experience. Under the creative direction of Suzanne Tick, Luum is providing architects and designers with a complete interior solution. For more information, visit: www.luumtextiles.com
